23-year-old college girl gang raped inside temple in Madhya Pradesh
The woman had come to meet her boyfriend in Patlawad village near Dhamnod when she was waylaid by one of the rapists, as per the reports. "She came by bus to settle a lovers' quarrel and was waiting near the temple, close to a stone mine, when one of the accused approached her, asking why she was all alone," Dhamnod police station in-charge Mohan Jat told reports. "He advised her to move into the temple compound to for her safety. But he summoned two others, who locked the channel gate to the temple and then took turns to rape her." The criminals left her in the temple and fled. The victim then called up her boyfriend but on finding that his phone was switched off, she dialed one of his friends who called the police. She noted that one of the rapists had a bike with a ‘Sanju Baba’ sticker stuck to it. She gave descriptions of her rapists and the police managed to track them down. 30-year-old Sanjay Patel broke down and confessed to his crime. He also named his friends Akhilesh Patel and Mahadev Patidar to the police. -PTC News
