Less than a week before the Independence Day, a low intensity explosive was found in 12317 Akal Takht Express by security agencies on Amethi Raliway Station in Uttar Pradesh. The passengers travelling from Kolkata to Amritsar were evacuated by the security force. The train was stopped at Amethi at 1:14 a.m. after the Guard and the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) received information about a suspected object lying in the toilet of coach number B3. The object was suspected as a bomb. The passengers on B3 and B4 were evacuated. Bomb scare on Akal Takht Express: On examining, "A package with a 'sutli' (thread) wrapped, two lighters and little powder material strewn around was found in the train (Akal Takhat Express/12317)," a GRP official said, adding, "The suspicious package was reported at around 1am on Wednesday night. " "A low-intensity device was found, it has been deactivated and train has left for its destination," Saumitra Yadav, SP GRP said. Later the train left for Amritsar, safe and sound. A letter has been recovered from the package that says there would be retaliation to Abu Dujara encounter in Kashmir, the revenge for his death will be taken. Dujana , a Lashkar Commander was gunned down in Pulwama, district of Jammu and Kashmir by the security forces. He was a Pakistani who was described as an A++ category militant by army and police officials. He was the master mind behind numerous attacks in South Kashmir. "The matter has been taken over by state police and state bomb disposal squad," Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Shivendra Shukla said. —PTC News
