Amarinder should desist from patronising government terrorism against Sikhs : Manjinder Singh Sirsa

Newdelhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today urged Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to desist from patronizing government terrorism against the Sikh community and said that the incident of desecration of Sikh turban and misbehavior with Sikh women legislators in Punjab Assembly has sent shock waves in community throughout the world. In a statement issued here today, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Capt Amarinder Singh is repeating the historic blunder of the Congress party of patronizing government terrorism against the sikh community. He said that it appears that the Punjab CM wants to please his masters of Gandhi Family by doing so as this family always likes the humiliation of Sikhs worldwide and always feels  proud of letting the community down by its own party members. He said that the blunder of Amarinder Singh on patronizing the government agencies and party leaders against the Sikhs can lead to circumstances beyond his control and of others as well. Mr Sirsa said that the incident occurred yesterday in  Punjab Assembly where turbans of the baptized Sikhs were tossed  and women were brutally assaulted and misbehaved with by the Punjab Police and marshals of the assembly has sent shock waves among the community members throughout the world. He said that when the dignity of the sikh community was not safe at the land of Guru Sahiban and where sikh religion was born, what can one expect at the  distant places outside Punjab where Sikhs are residing at present and working on prestigious positions in different fields. He said that this incident can lead to provocation among other community members to assail at the Sikhs anytime in these places and that too at a time when the community was locked in a pitched battle to get the right to wear sikh articles of faith as told by Guru Sahiban worldwide and  is also struggling against the incidents of  assault on Sikhs in different countries. Mr. Sirsa said that instead of pleasing his ultimate boss Gandhi family, Capt Amarinder Singh should  learn a lesson from the erstwhile Badal government which had dismissed a cop who was involved in tossing of turban of a sikh man in Mohali during its tenure. He said that this dismissal has set an example and Amarinder should follow the suit by dismissing the marshals and Punjab Police officials and also immediately remove Rana KP Singh from post of Speaker of  Punjab Assembly. The DSGMC General Secretary said that whole community was looking at him on how he will punish the guilty in the present case as he himself is a Sikh who ties turban and claims himself as a champion of Sikh cause. —PTC News
