Anganwadi workers protest against Captain Govt, detained by police The members of Anganwadi Mulazam Union staged a protest against the policies of the state government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday morning. Aanganwadi workers from across the state are participating in this protest. They are raising slogans against the government to get their demands fulfilled. The police detained the protesters outside the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. The protesting anganwadi workers said Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, before forming the government in Punjab, had assured to resolve various problems being faced by anganwadi workers. The Punjab Government has not increased the honorarium allowance of Aanganwadi employees during the second budget session, due to which they stage a protest this morning and will continue to do so in the day. Apart from this, thousands of employees also protested in protest at the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharmot, in Nabha, with the copy of the budget session, the effigy of Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal. -PTC News
