Beneficiaries of old-age pension to get Rs 750 per month from July, said Razia Sultana
Under social security pensions’ scheme in Punjab, lakhs of beneficiaries of old-age pension, widow pension etc will get Rs 750 per month from July.
Punjab Minister for Social Security and Development of Women and Children Razia Sultana stated the same on Monday while reviewing on-going development works and social welfare schemes in Sangrur and Barnala districts at a meeting, held at the district administrative complex here.
Earlier, a sum of Rs 500 per month was being given by the state government to the beneficiaries of old-age pension, widow pension.
Razia Sultana reviewed works, related to departments of drainage, Irrigation, PWD, and Mandi Board.
She also reviewed smart ration card Scheme and directed the officers concerned to ensure that all eligible persons could get benefits of the Scheme.
