City Beautiful has been named as the third cleanest city in the country and we are not surprised.
Taking a big leap, Chandigarh jumped to the third spot from the previous 11th in a cleanliness survey conducted by the Central Government. The results were announced on Wednesday.
Indore has emerged as the cleanest city in the country, followed by Bhopal and Chandigarh in the government’s cleanliness survey.
The results of Swachh Survekshan 2018 were announced by Minister of State for Housing Hardeep Singh Puri. It aims to estimate levels of cleanliness across cities in the country.
Indore was the cleanest city last year as well, but that survey was conducted only for around 430 cities. This time it was conducted for around 4,200 cities.
