12-year-old Delhi schoolgirl killed after speeding dumper crushes her, brother hurt
A girl was crushed to death and her elder brother was injured when a speeding dumper hit them while overtaking a bus on Friday.
The incident took place in south Delhi, police confirmed. The accident occurred around 7am when Raju, 14, and his Ishrat, 12, were going to school in Sarita Vihar near Shaheen Bagh.
“When Ishrat and Raju were walking near the footpath, the dumper lost balance due to a collision with the bus. It crushed Raju and Ishrat,” deputy commissioner of police Chinmoy Biswal said.
Both the children were taken to a nearby hospital immediately where the girl was declared brought dead. Raju is going through treatment in the hospital, the officer said.
