Drunk man charged Rs. 1.4 lakh on a taxi in Oslo, Norway: A hefty taxi bill of $2,200 (roughly Rs. 1.4 lakh) was charged to a drunken man from Oslo after he travelling through three countries. The Oslo resident took taxi ride at New Year's Eve from Copenhagen to go to his destination. The taxi started off in Denmark and passed through Sweden before finally reaching the destination in Oslo, Norway after which the Drunk man charged Rs. 1.4 lakh on a taxi. The man was part of a New Year's Eve party and was so drunk that he entered the taxi and asked the driver to take the 372-mile trip. After reaching the destination, the man declined to pay the hefty bill before crashing at his home, as per reports from Metro. The driver then contacted the Oslo Police for help. "A drunk man got into a taxi in Copenhagen in 2017. Arrived left the taxi without paying. We found the man sleeping at home in bed. He is now awake, and makes up for it," Oslo Police recounted the incident on Twitter. "The Danish taxi went out of power outside the House and had to have the help of the tow truck. Together with the taxi Bill must the drunken taxi customer out with about 18,000 Norwegian kroner bill for the trip through the three countries," Police added. Lately, an Uber customer in Toronto (Canada) was charged $18,518.50(Canadian dollars) for a five-mile, 21-minute ride that usually costs between $12 to $16.
