DSGMC to honour NEET topper Sikh Boy Navdeep Singh

New Delhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has decided to honour sikh boy Navdeep Singh who has topped the all india entrance examination NEET for the MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges throughout India. Congratulating Navdeep Singh in this unique feet, the DSGMC General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was proud moment for the whole sikh community that young sikh boy has topped the prestigious exam at All India level. He said that with this achievement members of the community have one again proved that though in minority in India and a wafer thin presence worldwide but still the sikh community with the blessings of Almighty can do wonders. He said that achievement of Navdeep Singh has a great significance and has come at a time when the community members were making headlines for their achievements in different countries. He hoped that the sikh boy will achieve greater heights in his life and wished him success for his future life. It is worth mentioning here that Muktsar boy Navdeep Singh was on cloud nine when he saw his name right on top of the National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) result declared on Friday. NEET is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges. Navdeep, a student of Shivalik Public Senior Secondary School in Muktsar, used to take tuition at Helix Institute in Chandigarh for the entrance exam. His father Gopal Singh is the principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Charewan village of Muktsar. On his achievement Navdeep said, “I was sure of clearing this exam, but I did not expect to top it. It still seems an unbelievable dream for me.”
