Ghero Vidhan Sabha: Sukhbir Badal, Bikram Majithia arrested Turbans were tossed after police tried to prevent SAD-BJP leaders from marching towards the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday. After Akali leaders led by Sukhbir Badal crossed the second line of defence, water cannons were used to keep them away. The police also lathi charged the protesters as they became unstoppable. Turbans of both Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia along with other followers were tossed in the chaos created between the protesters and the police. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Bikram Majithia were later also arrested by the police. SAD President also mentioned that the Congress government has failed to implement the farm loan waiver and has made efforts to stop subsidised power to the agricultural sector. Sukhbir said all social security pensions besides the insurance scheme for farmers has been stopped and now efforts were on to start charging them for power used in the agricultural sector. Sukhbir accused Amarinder of being “inaccessible” to people. He said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal would have been jailed had he not tendered an apology to Bikram Majithia for levelling false charges against him. He alleged that the Congress government had been unable to manage funds in Punjab. He took a dig at the CM and Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal for cribbing continuously about the state treasury being empty. Sukhbir Badal had earlier said, the SAD had resolved to take this agitation to its logical conclusion and force the government to implement a complete loan waiver scheme for farmers, farm labourers and dalits. -PTC News-
