Giani Gurbachan Singh Jathedar's statement on Rashtriya Sikh Sangat
Today, on date 23-10-2017, Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh Jathedar Sri Akal Takht said that the Sikh Gurus have taught principle and ethical deeds for the common good to the entire humanity. Nobody can be convicted and cannot be allowed to confuse our history.
Because the Sikh community is a different one, we have a different identity, we have our own unique history. Sikhism never interferes in religious beliefs, customs and history of any other religion, nor will it tolerate interference.
Refuting the statement that was printed in a print media about the national Sikh Sangat in the past, Singh Sahib said that the message which was issued by five Takht Sahibans in 2004, it is clear from the Sri Akal Takht that no proxy moments will be tolerated and will not provide any kind of cooperation to the suspect organizations and individual people.
Before giving any statement openly, they should clarify with the Akal Takht in any concern of the matter.
On the basis of my involvement in the convention organized by the National Association of Sikh Sangat, a few media persons are misleading Sangat, on which I want to make it clear that I am not involved in such a convention nor will I be a part of any such convention.
