Headmaster leaks question paper, prepares answers too In order to help the first boy, the question paper packet was leaked in a school in Maynaguri by the headmaster on each day of the Madhyamik examinations. The headmasters also got answers prepared by the respective subject teachers and these were, in turn, given to the boy. This incident came to light when two assistant teachers of the Subhas Nagar High School lodged a complaint against the headmaster, Haridayal Roy. "On receiving the complaint, I went to the school on the day of the Mathematics examination on Monday and found that Roy had, indeed, opened the question paper packet one hour 40 minutes before the scheduled time of 11.15am," said Biswanath Bhowmik, sub-inspector (SI) of schools for Maynaguri block. Roy has rubbished all the claims but has been summoned by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) for a hearing at their headquarters. "This is a grave offence and amounts to gross professional misconduct, if committed. It will be enquired how he opened it before schedule. If found true, the maximum exemplary punishment for such an offence will be awarded to the accused," said Kalyanmoy Ganguly, WBBSE president, according to the paper. -PTC News
