Height of political vendetta: Kejriwal after Income Tax department sent a notice to AAP
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday took it to Twitter to say how the notice by the Income Tax department against his party was the "height of political vendetta".
"In the history of India, ALL donations to a political party have been declared illegal. All these were accounted for and shown in books of accounts. This is the height of political vendetta," Kejriwal said on Twitter.
As reported earlier, in the tax assessment for the party between 2014-15 and 2015-16, the party earned a taxable income of Rs 68.44 crore.
However, despite giving 34 opportunities, the party did not respond- the notice says. -PTC News
