London: After playing spoilsport during more than handful of matches in the ICC Champions Trophy, the rain gods are expected to take it easy as defending champions India take on South Africa in a must-win encounter at the Kennington Oval in London on Sunday. While one won’t be too surprised if there is a shower or two considering the fickle nature of English weather, but the weather forecast indicates clear skies as the match begins at 3 PM IST (10.30 AM local time). But it is also indicated that rain may make its presence felt ahead of the start of the penultimate game of Group B as there are 51 per cent chances of rain 30 minutes before the schedule start of the match; somewhere around the toss time. Fortunately for cricket lovers, the chances of rain drop down drastically as the bright skies are predicted throughout the match day. However, if there is rain and the match is washed out, India and South Africa will share a point each as the former go to the semifinals while the Proteas will hope that Pakistan versus Sri Lanka game is washed out, helping them to move to the final four because of their better NRR. —PTI News-
