Karan Johar’s team seeks permission to shoot biopic at Panjab University Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is set to produce a biopic on the life of Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra for which they are seeking permission to shoot at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh. Captain Batra, who had graduated in BSc from DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, joined the varsity in 1995 to pursue MA in English. The team wants to shoot at the department of English, said a source. Actor Sidharth Malhotra is supposedly playing the role of Captain Batra. Captain Batra was an Indian Army officer, posthumously awarded with the Param Vir Chakra for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War in Kashmir between India and Pakistan. He had led one of the toughest operations in mountain warfare in Indian history. -PTC News
