Kullu-Manali: Six vehicles buried under the debris due to floods Six vehicles were buried under the debris due to floods, while heavy flow of the debris also blocked the Kullu- Manali National Highway causing traffic jam, here on Wednesday. A team of the public works department (PWD) has been working to open the highway for traffic since morning. Manali sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Raman Gharsanghi said,“Flashfloods occurred in Bran Nullah in Manali at around 3 am in the morning and swept away vehicles parked on the roadside.” Public property worth crores was also damaged due to the floods. He said, “At least seven vehicles including six cars and a motorbike were also washed away in the flood.” “No loss of life has been reported so far,” the SDM said. -PTC News
