Man commits suicide at Metro station
New Delhi: A 45-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Shahdara Metro station. Officials said the incident was reported at about 10 AM when a man identified as Manoj K Verma allegedly jumped before the metro train going towards Rithala at platform number 1. He died on the spot. Soon after the incident, CISF and Delhi Metro personnel reached the spot. Police is trying to ascertain why Verma took the extreme step, they said. Metro operations were resumed after about 15 minutes, they said. — PTI
