My premeditated, partisan and politically motivated suspension from the remaining session of Vidhan Sabha exposes the draconian and “mughali” character of the Speaker :- Khaira By unilaterally suspending me for the remaining session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the Speaker has only exposed himself to be a minion and a convenient hand tool of the Congress government. While suspending me under the directions of Capt. Amarinder Singh, the Speaker even forgot to give me a chance to give an explanation to counter the unfair suspension. To set the record straight I shot the video and posted it on the social media when the proceedings o the Vidhan Sabha were adjourned due to ruckus. It is also noteworthy to mention, that it is not a first time that a member has shot a video within the Vidhan sabha. Only during the last session of the previous government, the then Leader of Opposition and now Minister Charanjit Singh Channi shot a live video and posted it on the social media. Similarly, Raja Warring, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Kuljit Nagra and others shot a live video while they spent night during a protest in the Vidhan Sabha recently which went viral on the facebook. I am surprised that while the proceedings of Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha are shown live to the nation, why is the Congress government and the Speaker so rattled by the video that I have posted on the facebook? The reality is that the Congress government and the Speaker are unable to bear the brunt of AAP-LIP MLA’s since they are exposing the government and Ministers like Rana Gurjeet Singh as sand mafia and land mafia. The Speaker has consistently denied the entire opposition a fair chance to debate by turning a complete blind eye towards us. The opposition is then left with no option but to utilise its democratic right to walk out and squat in the well of the house. Therefore, I equate the partisan and unfair attitude of Sh. Rana KP Singh with the erstwhile Abdali’s, Durani’s and Mughal’s, who executed people and mercilessly killed people by even denying them an opportunity to defend themselves. I and my party will not be cowed down by such empty threats of the Speaker and Congress government and vow to fight the burning issues of Punjab relentlessly. Now that the issue of live coverage from Vidhan Sabha has come into public domain, AAP urges the Speaker to have the entire proceedings of Punjab Vidhan Sabha sessions covered live through Doordarshan TV. —PTC News
