NIT Patna girl becomes the first to bag an offer of Rs. 39.5 lakh
Medha Kumari of National Institute of Technology, Patna has bagged a job offer of record Rs. 39.5 lakhs from Adobe Systems India Private Limited. The job offer is the highest ever received by any NIT Patna student. Medha was earlier shortlisted by a software company which had offered her a package of Rs. 8.75 lakh. She however believed in herself and her own worth. Medha went through a set of three rounds – online test, a technical round and an interview. A total of 40 students appeared for the online test and a few were shortlisted to attend the technical round in Kolkata in October. She was later called for an interview, becoming the only student to clear all the rounds and secure a job offer. Samrat Mukherjee, training and placement in-charge of NIT-P, shared that this was the highest pay package secured by any student in NIT Patna. The second highest is a wide margin and was offered by Amazon last year to six students. Some of the companies that are hiring at NIT Patna include giants like Amazon, Oracle, Envestnet Yodlee, Wipro, TCS, Samsung, Tata Morors, Vedanta and L&T Construction. -PTC News
