'Padmaavat controversy' : 'City Palace' 'Jaigarh Fort' will not close : In the midst of reports of the closure of City Palace and Jaigarh Fort because of ongoing controversy about the film 'Padmaavat' of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the officials clarify that no such notice of closure had been issued so far.'Padmaavat controversy' : 'City Palace' 'Jaigarh Fort' will not close

The response comes after members of the Rajput Karni Sena claimed that the royals of Rajasthan had assured heritage sites would be closed unless the film was banned.But, an official statement issued from the City Palace and Jaigarh fort said that no such statement or notice has been passed so far in this regard. The rumour of its closure being circulated is untrue. Her Highness Rajmata Sahiba of Jaipur has not passed any such instructions. We will appreciate the stopping of this rumour."'Padmaavat controversy' : 'City Palace' 'Jaigarh Fort' will not closeEarlier, the president of Karni Sena Mahipal Makrana had said that most of the heritage sites in Rajasthan would be closed till ‘Padmaavat’ was banned. He had also claimed that assurance in this regard was given from the royal family. Whereas, the film is scheduled to be released on January 25.
