Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives at the Kisan Kalyan Rally in Malout

Kisan Kalyan Rally - Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives at the 'Kisan Kalyan Rally' in Malout district, Punjab to address the farmers who have gathered to thank him for his historic decision of increase in MSP. The SAD-BJP alliance has organised the rally to thank the PM for increasing the MSP of crops. SAD Patron Prakash Singh Badal, President Sukhbir Singh Badal, Union Minster Harsimrat Kaur Badal along with Member of Parliament Vijay sampla, BJP state president Shwait Malik, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar are present at the rally in Malout. The thanksgiving rally has witness countless enthusiastic farmers who personally want to thank the PM for his bold decision to ensure 50 percent profit on input costs while framing MSP for Kharif crops including paddy and cotton which has witnessed an unprecedented Rs 200 per quintal and Rs 1100 per quintal increase respectively. “PM Modi has fulfilled promises made to farmers, but the Congress government in Punjab hasn’t. This has led to resentment among farmers,” the state BJP chief said. SAD Muktsar district president and MLA Kanwarjit Singh Rosy Barkandi said that central government has done remarkable work by increasing the MSP of kharif crops and farmers in record numbers will take part in the rally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his tweet, “Tomorrow I would be visiting Punjab to address a Kisan Kalyan Rally in Malout, Muktsar district. Farmers from Punjab have an invaluable contribution in the growth of India’s agriculture sector. I look forward to tomorrow’s rally.” -PTC News
