India' 14th president Ram Nath Kovind takes oath today. He took oath in the parliament. Justice JS Khehar, Chief Justice of India administered the oath of office. Kovind exchanged seats after taking oath with president Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. In addition to this,  21-gun salute was fired in his honour. Ram Nath Kovind takes oath as 14th president of India Ram Nath Kovind Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union ministers, Governors, Chief Ministers, Ambassadors and other diplomats, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, MPs and senior civil officers were also present at the ceremony. Ram Nath Kovind paid his respect to Mahatma Gandhi. Mr Kovind won the elections by getting 65.65 per cent of the total votes and became the 14th President of India. —PTC News    -
