Refuting Johal’s torture allegations, Police said he is linked to Gursharan Bir Singh

The Punjab Police today linked UK national Jagtar Singh Johal, alias Jaggi, with Gursharan Bir Singh, an accused in the 2009 murder case of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat chief Rulda Singh in Patiala. Facing allegations of torture and illegal handling of the UK national, the police today gave details of “evidence” against him. They also denied allegations saying Johal wasn’t tortured. The police claimed that in March 2016, Harmeet Singh, a Pak-based KLF terrorist, asked Johal to arrange local-made pistols for his module members in Punjab. In April 2016, Johal further asked Taljeet Singh Jimmy to supply pistols with the help of his acquaintances in Jammu. Johal paid 3,000 pounds to Jimmy in Glasgow in November 2016 for the weapons, which Jimmy arranged to be dumped near a milestone, on way to Zaffarwal. Jimmy then sent pictures of the place to Johal and the latter informed Harmeet, who got the pistols retrieved. -PTC News
