Ahead of Republic Day, Woman held with 20 bullets at Delhi metro station: A woman carrying 20 live bullets was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) from a Delhi Metro station after her bag was scanned on Sunday.
Following which, security in the Metro and other public transport facilities in Delhi is stepped up in view of the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
The woman was from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh who was found carrying the cartridges at the Adarsh Nagar station. She was travelling with her family members.
Her father later produced a copy of his arms license and said the 20 rounds of ammunition (.32 calibre) belongs to him.
The woman and others have been handed over to the Delhi Police by the CISF team for further investigation.
