Retirement Decision Has To Be Left To Dhoni Himself: Tendulkar

Retirement Decision Has To Be Left To Dhoni Himself: Tendulkar The speculations about MS Dhoni’s retirement have shaken the entire nation.  MS Dhoni has been under a lot of judgement and intense criticism after his not-so-good performance against England.  And MS Dhoni got his backing from some of the greatest legends of all time. Recently, Sachin Tendulkar backed MS Dhoni. He said that he is the best person to decide on his future. He also said that Dhoni would be the first one to admit that his performance in England was not up Tendulkar said, “I know people are talking about a lot of things... I have read Mr Gavaskar’s statement and seen Sourav’s remark that Dhoni needs to do more. But if you speak to MS himself, he would also say that it has not been up to his expectations.” He also said, “The player only has to take the call. A player of his calibre, who has been around for a long time, knows what is expected of him. And where he stands. So, I will leave the decision to him.” Former captain Sourav Ganguly hopes that MS Dhoni will be back when India play the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates. He said, “ I am sure he will get back to scoring runs. Whatever he does, it's his decision." Ganguly further said, “He may turn it around as he has been a great player for India but at the present, he is not turning it around enough and this has been going on for more than a year.” MS Dhoni drew a lot of criticism for his slow-paced innings in India's second and third ODI against England as his retirement rumours did the rounds. -PTC NEWS
