Bollywood often lacks while remaking Hollywood hits. However, there are some adaptations that receive positive reactions from the audience back home. Chef is the latest addition to the list of films that are official remakes of Hollywood hits and we are glad that this one was made! Chef is the official remake of a 2014 Hollywood film of the same name- Chef. The dynamics of modern-day, urban associations are well-observed in the film. Raja Krishna Menon's remake of Jon Favreau's Chef might not contain much glamour or a film that you d like to watch for years, but the film does radiate enough warmth, intelligence and energy to make for a worthwhile cinematic repast. Mr Khan is a failed husband, a father not very good at parenting, and a man not knowing what he wants in the film. Chef celebrates the glory of food when it comes mixed with love and passion. At a point, the protagonist reminds his young son of the guru ka langar in the Golden Temple, where feeding the hungry with one's own hands brings rab ki meher (god's blessings). The film is an engaging relationship drama about a broken family in the process of mending fences.   The remake is directed by Raja Krishna Menon, who had earlier made Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift. Image result for chef movie Expectations are clearly high from the director, the film also features Padmapriya (earlier seen in Chandan Arora's Striker), Chandan Roy Sanyal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Milind Soman and Svar Kamble in key roles. We suggest you pay your one time bill for this movie and take out time with your family. -PTC News
