Sweets found adulterated by SDM RP Singh and Health Dept in Mohali
Ahead of the festive season, adulteration was found in sweets by SDM RP Singh and the team of Health Department. A large number of sweet shops in the city are selling adulterated food items they said and hence conducted a raid. Samples have been sent to the Laboratory for further investigation. Adulteration in food items usually shoots up during the festive season when people make a beeline for these products. Urea, detergent, refined oil, dry milk and starch are regularly found in milk samples. Drinking such adulterated milk can lead to various diseases like -stomach disorder, liver-kidney problems, nutrient deficiency, skin diseases and others. -PTC News
