Sex racket exposed in Jodhewal Basti, Ludhiana. Five arrested
The Anti-Narcotics cell has exposed a sex racket and has arrested five people including the manager of the racket.
In a major raid conducted by the Anti-Narcotics cell in the Simranjeet Nagar area Jodhewal Basti, Ludhiana, 2 girls, a moderator and two boys have been arrested other than the manager of the racket.
After the racket was exposed, legal proceedings were done, hence a case was registered under the Immoral Traffic Act
The police said, we had received information that a woman of Simranjeet Nagar was running the sex racket, and so we investigated.
They would bring girls from outside and involve them in prostitution eventually; this has become a daily source of income for them and a racket that had to be exposed.
The accused were caught red handed. Two arrested accused were identified as Paramvir Singh and Sucha Singh of New Subhash Nagar.
While one of the girls is from Banda Bahadar Colony, the second one is from Guru Vihar Marg.
