Tale of a tea seller: I took my kids to McDonald's, they looked at me like I was a hero!

Story of a Tea seller in Mumbai who takes his kids to McDonald's Little things in life 'give you' a box full of happiness, enough to walk down a memory lane after years and remember the ‘little things’ that made your day or brought a smile on the face of a loved one. The art of giving is perhaps the easiest way of happiness. A tea seller, a cobbler or a rickshaw man, one thing common between the three is – they can’t afford the luxuries of life. The luxury to get their kids everything they desire. But once a while, in the middle of everything-

life gives you a dream, if not a fairy tale. Such is the story of the tea seller who walked his kids and wife to McDonald outlet and felt the peace of contentment of giving his kids the best.   If there's anything in this life that comes without any terms and conditions, it’s giving to others. This Mumbai tea seller's 'happiest day of my life' moment is just the thing you need to read, to realize what it means to give and still be so full yourself. In a Facebook post on the Humans of Bombay page, a tea seller was asked about his happiest moment and he said that taking his wife and kids to McDonalds for the first time was the happiest day of his life. “There was some event happening at big hotel nearby. And after lunch everyone wanted chai. That day I made more money than I make in a month.” He further added, “I took my wife and kids to McDonald's for the first time and bought the kids their own burgers with the toys in it. My kids looked at me like I was their hero! That's the happiest day of my life.” Taking for granted the little pleasures of life by you, me or the man sitting next to you could be the things that become the happiest moment of someone’s life, a day they would never forget. Give, what you can for it will fill you back! Written and Edited by Nimrat Kaur for PTC News
