Sushma says terrorism undeniably 'mother of all disruptions' : "Terrorism is undeniably the 'mother of all disruptions' today. Our attitude towards terrorism has evolved in the last few decades," Sushma Swaraj. Minister of External Affairs said that no doubt terrorism is the main cause of terrorism. She was speaking at the Geo-political conference, Raisina Dialogue, in New Delhi.
The External Affairs Minister also said the challenge of terrorism has become much more serious in this era of digitization as it has larger susceptibility to radicalization. She said that terrorism was seen as "other's problem" or a "law and order situation" once upon a time and was used as a tool by the state but gone are the times now.
But now the views have evolved that terrorism can pop up anywhere can damage societies, said the Minister. In, what some analysts feel a veiled indication to Pakistan; she did not hesitate saying that terrorism from governed spaces is much more dangerous and said that the problem will not spare its originators and practitioners.
Swaraj said at the end by saying that the message is particularly to those who feel that terrorism can be an instrument of convenience.
