Urdu is now the second official language in Telangana, Bill passed in House

The Urdu Amendment Bill is determined to provide an official status to Urdu as the second language in the State of Telangana. Telangana State Assembly passed three bills in the House after discussion by the members of ruling and Opposition parties today. The Bills were passed by the House include Endowment Amendment Bill, Lokayukta Amendment Bill and Urdu Official Language Amendment Bill in the House after discussion. A Indrakaran Reddy, Endowment Minister introduced the Endowment Amendment bill in the House. Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao introduced Lokayukta Amendment Bill. Along with this he also introduced Urdu Official Language Amendment Bill on behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the House. The Legislative Council is to approve these bills on November 17. -PTC News
