Wanted criminal from Gurdaspur killed in encounter A criminal was on Friday night killed and two others were arrested in an encounter with the Punjab Police. The encounter took place in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district. The criminal was identified as Sunny Masih, a resident of Gurdaspur district in Punjab. Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said that five criminals had snatched a Verna car from a person at gunpoint from Sohana in Mohali district in Punjab. After receiving information, the police chased them to Naina Devi, he said. When the police team reached close to them near the PWD Rest House in the Naina Devi area, one of the criminals opened fire.The police retaliated, in which one of the criminal sustained serious injuries, he added. The other two criminals -- Amanpreet and Goldy --were arrested while Masih was taken to the hospital. -PTC News
