10 Sabarimala devotees killed in TN road accident
Ten Sabarimala devotees were killed in a road accident on Sunday afternoon in Tamil Nadu while they were returning after worshipping Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala. The accident took place on the Thirumayam bypass road.

According to the media reports, the white van carrying 15 people, including the driver, collided with the container lorry that allegedly came on the wrong side of the road. The windshield was broken and the engine was smashed. On the other hand, the lorry suffered major damage to the windshield only.

Police rushed to the spot and took all the injured to the hospital. Seven people died on the spot while three others succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the lorry is absconding.

Police has cleared the road for now to avoid a traffic jam. Also, it has launched a search operation to nab the absconding driver.
