More than 1000 guns seized from LA home
In a joint operation, authorities recovered more than 1,000 guns from a house located in a posh locality in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The joint operation was carried by officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Authorities were suspecting a person for manufacturing and selling illegal firearms on the border of the Bel Air and Holmby Hills. They were anonymously tipped off that the suspect was “conducting illegal firearms transaction outside the scope of the federal firearm license that the individual possesses.”
Following this tip-off, the authorities conducted a search operation and recovered weapons. Besides 1,000 guns, firearm manufacturing equipment and tools were also found at the location.
