Patiala reports 24 new cases of coronavirus; state count cross 600
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has crossed 600 after more than 100 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. Patiala reported 24 new cases of coronavirus taking the district count to 89. Mohali reported 6 new cases out of which one is from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi. Likewise, the district tally has increased to 92, the second-highest in the state.
Jalandhar reported 16 new cases of coronavirus taking the district tally to 105, the highest in the state. Moga reported 1 new case. Ferozepur reported 24 new cases taking the total tally to 26.
Ludhiana reported 13 cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases in the district to 76. Meanwhile, Amritsar reported 48 new cases, the highest in the day taking the district tally to 90.
Fazilka and Fatehgarh Sahib reported one new case each. Jalandhar is on the top of the tally followed by Mohali at 92, Patiala at 65, Ludhiana at 76, Amritsar at 90 and Pathankot at 25. SBS Nagar stands at 23, while 14 cases have been reported from Tarn Taran, 13 from Mansa, 12 from Kapurthala and 11 from Hoshiarpur.

Faridkot, Moga and Sangrur stand at 6 while Gurdaspur and Muktsar have 4 cases each. Barnala and Bathinda have 2 cases each while Fatehgarh Sahib has 3 cases. The death toll in the state stands at 20.
