13-year-old boy rapes 3-year-old niece in Chandigarh
In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy raped his 3-year-old niece in Maloya on Sunday. The accused was staying near the victim’s house in Maloya. He went to her house on Sunday afternoon. On finding his niece alone, he raped her.

The girl started crying uncontrollably. On hearing her cries, neighbours gathered there. In the meantime, the victim’s mother also returned and caught the boy. He couldn’t flee from the spot.
The mother of the victim then informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and took the accused into its custody. Also, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police has registered a case under Section 376 AB (punishment for rape on a woman under 12 years of age) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The police has sent the accused to the Juvenile Home in Sector 25.
