14-year-old boy killed in Kupwara The first phase of Lok Sabha polls in Kupwara ended on a violent note with the killing of a 14-year-old boy on Thursday. The deceased identified as Owais Ahmed Mir was killed in clashes after security personnel were attacked by locals soon after polling ended. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. In the first of Lok Sabha Polls, an overall 57.31 per cent turnout was registered in J&K’s Baramulla and Jammu parliamentary constituencies.
