In a major incident, some suspected separatist insurgents, killed as many as 15 people and wounded four village defence volunteers in a late-night shooting at a security checkpoint in Thailand's Muslim-majority south, on Wednesday. The attackers used explosives and scattered nails on the street to delay pursuers in southern Yala province. The authorities have described it as the biggest gun attack in the years. The Regional Security Spokesman, Colonel Pramote Prom-in, said "This seems to be done by the insurgents. It is one of the biggest attacks in the recent times." https://www.ptcnews.tv/jammu-and-kashmir-people-injured-in-a-grenade-attack-in-srinagar/ However, no group has claimed the responsibility of the attack. According to the report of Deep South Watch (which monitors the violence), a decade-old separatist insurgency in Thailand's Malay-Muslim province of Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat has killed about 7,000 people since 2004. - PTC News-
