In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy killed himself while trying to fake his own hanging as an April Fool Day prank on his friends. According to the information, the incident took place in the Alappuzha district of Kerala on Thursday night. The deceased teenager has been identified as Sidharth Ajay. Reportedly, he used to live with his parents and sister at a rented house in Thalavadi. On Thursday, he went to his room post-dinner and when he did not return for a considerable time his mother went to his room to check on him. His mother found him hanging from the ceiling fan. Later, he was taken to a private medical facility, however, he could not be saved. The teenager’s cellphone was found near the window of his room in which the live-streaming mode was on. The body was sent to Alappuzha Medical College for post-mortem and his mobile phone was seized for examination. Further investigation is underway into the matter.
