The girl, identified as Chanchal, had gone to Kedarnath on a pilgrimage with her parents. When the floods came, it swept away her father and separated her from her mother. The mother of the girl returned Aligarh after failing to find her daughter. But for the last few months, the girl with her limited verbal skills tried to communicate about Aligarh city to the orphanage authorities.
