180 protesting ETT teachers from Punjab lathicharged outside Delhi CM's house

New Delhi, July 16: 180 regular and permanent ETT teachers in the education department of Punjab staged a sit-in outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, there was a heated debate between the Delhi Police and the protestors of Punjab teachers who were sitting on a dharna outside Kejriwal's residence in Delhi. The turbans of the teachers also came off during the stampede. The Delhi Police detained the teachers from  Punjab sitting on dharna. Protesters who insisted on meeting Kejriwal were forcibly removed by the Delhi Police. The protestors also accused CM Mann of not giving time for the meeting. It may be mentioned that 6505 teachers were recruited in 2016. They say that the government has cheated us, the government recruited us in two parts and after working for a long time, our salary was given half and the other teachers with us are getting their full salary and we are on half salary. When the Aam Aadmi Party came to contest the elections, today's Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema told us that injustice has been done to you, we will remove this injustice, but today there was no one to listen to us.
