1982 hockey gold medalist Anurita Dubey is no more
Anurita Dubey Death: Sixty-year-old Anurita Dubey, a former hockey international player, and 1982 hockey gold medalist, is no more. She died on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. Anurita was 60. A midfielder, Anurita Dubey was a member of the 1982 Asian Games champions Indian hockey team. She played for North East and Northern Railways in domestic hockey. Anurita who started her hockey career by joining Sports Hostel at Lucknow in 1977 under the watchful eyes of Ms. Bula Ganguly managed to earn a place for herself in the 1982 Asian Games team.
