Two teenagers injured in an accident died on the road when 3 police personnel refused to take them to a hospital on the pretext that their blood would spoil the patrol vehicle. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur. The police personnel have been suspended after the incident took place. Both the teenagers were 17 years old and were identified as Arpit Khurana and Sunny. While they were returning to their houses on a motorcycle, they hit an electricity pole in Beri Bagh after which they fell into a deep drain, Saharanpur superintendent of police Prabal Pratap Singh said. Hearing the screams of the injured teenagers, residents came to rescue and pulled them out. The two sustained grievous head injuries in the incident. 2 UP teenagers bleed to death cops refuse help, Blood will spoil patrol car A UP 100 patrol vehicle was informed about the accident after which they reached the spot, but eyewitnesses alleged that the policemen on duty refused to shift the two to a hospital, saying their blood would spoil the vehicle. The residents took the teenagers to a hospital in an auto-rickshaw but the teenagers died before they could be succumbed to their injuries. “Two constables and a head constable on duty have been suspended. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident. The probe report will be submitted with 24 hours,” SP Prabal Pratap Singh said. -PTC News
