25-year-old photographer dies in celebratory firing in Dasuya
A 25-year-old photographer died in a celebratory firing during a pre-wedding function on Thursday evening at Harodthala village in Dasuya. The victim has been identified as Jaspal Singh. He was covering the marriage function as a photographer.

The family hired Sukhchain Singh to click photographs of the marriage ceremonies. He further employed two photographers, Jaspal Singh of Manasoorpur Mukerian village and Atul of Mukerian. He hired them to cover a wedding function at the girl’s house in the village for four days.

During the Jaago ceremony, a relative of the would-be-bride loaded his gun and straighten it. Accidentally a shot got fired from his gun and it hit the photographer who was standing right in front of him. Jaspal was rushed to the hospital nearby where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police also reached the spot and started investigating the case. Police told the media that the family locked the house and fled the village.
