3 medical colleges in three districts to come up in Assam The Assam government on Wednesday announced the launch of three new medical colleges in three different districts of the state. A total of Rs 1,186 crore to be spent on this entire project. These medical colleges will be able to add 1500 beds to the existing number of beds available in the government sector. According to the media reports, the foundation stone of these medical colleges would be laid in early January. On January 6, the foundation stone of Kokrajhar Medical College will be laid. On January 7, the foundation stone of Nalbari Medical College will be laid. And on January 8, the foundation stone of Tinsukia Medical College will be laid.
