3 youths molested a woman at Elante Mall
Chandigarh Police has booked three youths on the charge of molestation, teasing and stalking. The complainant (28), a resident of Zirakpur told the police that she had gone to Elante Mall for shopping.

Three youths in SUV obstructed her way in the parking when she was leaving in her car. They followed the victim’s car. They teased her and passed lewd comments to the victims. The girl noted down the registration number of the car. She informed the police and gave them the registration number.
She alleged, “They started passing lewd comments and pulled me towards them. I somehow freed myself from their grip and sat in my car. As I turned on the ignition, they blocked my path with their Toyota Innova SUV. I managed to find a way and drove out.”

When the police reached, they fled the spot. A case has been registered at Industrial area police station. The case registered against unknown persons under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 354-A (sexual harassment), 354-D (stalking) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention).

The police is investigating the matter. The department is trying to identify the suspects. Police has assured the victim that arrests would be made soon.
