30 dead, 28 injured due to a thunderstorm in different parts of Jharkhand
At least 30 people have died and over 28 have been reported injured due to a thunderstorm in different parts of Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms in different parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh have killed approximately 30 people across states. Nine persons were killed in various parts of Uttar Pradesh, according reports.
"As many as five persons were killed and four others injured as lightning struck some parts of Unnao district last night," Principal Secretary, Information, Avinish Awasthi told reports.
The Ranchi Met Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a thunderstorm alert last week. Many houses, vehicles, and structures were reportedly damaged due to thunderstorms in various parts of these states.
