30 killed as bus falls into canal in Karnataka
As many as thirty people including school children died as the bus in which they were travelling fell into a canal in Karnataka on Saturday. They were returning home after attending school.

The bus was on its way to Pandavapura from Mandya. It fell into the canal after the driver lost control and the bus was completely submerged under water. The rescue teams have reached the site and rescue operation is underway.

The Chief Minister of the state, H D Kumaraswamy, expressed shock over the incident and rushed to the spot. According to the media reports, Kumaraswamy has spoken to the district in-charge minister, C S Puttaraju, and Deputy Commissioner and directed them to visit the spot immediately and oversee the rescue operation. -PTC NEWS-
