Punjab By-polls: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Dr. Raj Singh Dibbipura cast his vote in Jalalabad on Monday. By-elections are being held in four Assembly constituencies in Punjab. Dr. Raj Singh Dibbipura is contesting against Aam Aadmi Party’s Mahendra Singh Kachura, Congress’s Raminder Singh Awla as well as Independent candidates Jagdeep Kamboj Goldi, Joginder Singh, and Raj Singh. Voting for Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly elections besides by-elections in 17 states, including Punjab, is underway. Voter turnout in Haryana and Maharashtra till 9 am stood at 8.73% and 5.46% respectively till 9 am.
