39 Indians, kidnapped by the dreaded ISIS in Iraq in June 2014, are dead, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Tuesday morning, after which families were seen in a state of shock and mourned the death of their beloved family members who they thought would come back. Sushma had personally met the families of the kidnapped persons a number of times and assured them that the government is making every possible effort to release them. In 2014,  a group of Indian labourers, mostly from Punjab, was taken hostage by ISIS when it overran Iraq’s second largest city Mosul. -PTC News-
